Cheddar Turkey Burgers

Tis the season of fast dinners that require zero oven time. Its just too darn hot!

Our grill has been in use in full force that last week or so...and burgers are finally starting to make me sick. You can only make burgers so many days in a row. But I do have a great recipe to share...i just don't want to eat them for another month!

In a large mixing bowl combine 2 package groud Turkey, 1 medium minced onion, 2 Cloves minced garlic, a small bunch of chopped chived, 1 extra large egg, 1 tablespoon grain mustard, a couple shakes of worsheshire sauce, salt and pepper
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, 1/2 Tsp each of onion and garlic powder and 1/4 cup cubed cheddar cheese.
Mix it all together. Don't be afraid to use your hands.

Form your patties by hand and place them on a baking sheet that is drizzled with a little olive oil. Drizzle olive oil on the side facing up as well.
Grill your burgers. Be careful not to flip the burgers too early or they may fall apart. you want nice grill marks before you flip. The cheese in the burgers will start to melt as well! Turkey burgers should be cooked well (no pink in the middle)...i haven't met a person who wants turkey done medium rare yet.. grossssss!
Serve your burger on toasted whole grain buns and fun toppings. I used roasted red peppers, roasted onions, grain mustard, Red Hot sauce and boston lettuce.
Imagine all burgers looked this good...i purposly "styled" this to look great for the photo..
most of the time my burgers are slapped together! lol!
